China, London: In one of a kind of intercontinental train service started between Yiwu  (China) to London has begun. The first such freight train service between London and china.
London trip will span 18 days and more than 12,000 kilometers

The freight train will travel more than 7,500 miles (12,000 km) and will take around 18 days to reach Britain from China, Xinhua said. It will pass through Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Germany, Belgium and Franc to complete its journey from china to London.

The Train started on Jan 1, 2017 and will reach by 18th Jan 2017.

The service mainly consists of garments, bags and suitcases among other items will pass through Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Germany, Belgium and France.

The train can carry about 200 containers, versus 20,000 on a large cargo vessel and the trip takes about half as long as a 30-day sale between East Asia and Northern Europe.

The service will improve China-Britain trade ties, strengthen connectivity with western Europe, while better serving China's Belt and Road Initiative, an infrastructure and trade network connecting Asia with Europe and Africa along ancient trade routes, the China Railway Corporation said.
