Pakistan: There is news of the blast in the Metropolitan city of Lahore in Pakistan. According to the Pakistani media, explosions near the Arfa Karim IT Tower in the city were heard. At least 26 people are reported to have died in the blast in the afternoon of July 24, while more than 54 injured as reported. SP Imran Avan has said that an anti-encroachment campaign was being carried out in the area, when the blast took place. A team of anti-riot police was also set up for the campaign. At least three people are being reported to be members of the anti-rioting team.

Relief teams have reached the spot and emergency arrangements have been made in nearby hospitals. What happened due to the explosion, it is yet to be ascertained. The area where the blast has happened is only a few minutes away from the Chief Minister's office in Punjab province.
