America, Indra Nooyi: Looks like The New US President Donald Trump, trusts more on the Indians and the great leader from India is growing with each passing days. In a new move he has added Pepsi’s Indian-Origin American CEO Indra Nooyi to a team of America’s top business leaders he set up to advise him on economic issues, including GM’s Mary Barra and Disney’s Bob Iger.

The Strategic and Policy Forum, as the group is called, was established earlier this month to “meet with the president frequently to share their specific experience and knowledge as the president implements his economic agenda”.

It started out with 16 members, led by Blackstone’s Stephen A Schwarzman. Other members include JP Morgan Chase’s Jamie Dimon, IBM’s Ginni Romety, Wal-Mart’s Doug McMillon, and Jack Welch, the iconic former CEO of General Electrics.

Trump announced the addition of three new members on Wednesday — Nooyi, Tesla’s Ellon Musk and Uber’s Travis Kalanick.

Who is Indra Nooyi?

Indra Krishnamurthy Nooyi is an India-born, naturalized American, business executive and the current Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of PepsiCo, the second largest food and beverage business in the world by net revenue.

Compensation for Indra Nooyi

While CEO of PepsiCo in 2011, Nooyi earned a total compensation of $17 million which included a base salary of $1.9 million, a cash bonus of $2.5 million, pension value and deferred compensation of $3 million. By 2014, her total compensation had grown to $19,087,832, including $5.5 million of equity compensation.

Forbes magazine ranked Nooyi on the 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 lists of The World's 100 Most Powerful Women. Fortune magazine has named Nooyi number one on its annual ranking of Most Powerful Women in business for 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. In 2008, Nooyi was named one of America's Best Leaders by U.S. News & World Report. In 2008, she was elected to the Fellowship of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
