Fact Check: Did FBI RAID AT NSA EMPLOYEE’S HOME REVEALS OVER 4,000,000

Brief Outline: Viral news claims that FBI agents have discovered an astounding 4,000,000 pictures of men’s penises, also known as “dick pics”, during a raid on an NSA employee’s home this week.

Origin: The original news was spread by World News Daily Report, published on April 14, 2018, titled FBI raid at NSA employee's home reveals over 4,000,000  (archive link).

Viral Example: Federal prosecutors have charged Harry Muff, an NSA employee for 14 years, with theft of government property and unauthorized removal and retention of classified materials.

Muff’s home was raided Wednesday by FBI agents who seized 14 computers containing 53 terabytes of illegally downloaded pictures and documents from the National Security Agency.

It is believed Muff used his Secret security clearance to illegally download millions of pictures of a sexual nature off of unsuspecting American mobile phones and computers.

Experts believe Muff used custom-designed software to target users “dick pics” and automatically download them to his home servers.

Detailed Analysis:  This is fake news and not relevant at all. The picture in the World News Daily Report is of Hung Phuoc Nguyen, a 44-year-old man arrested for robbing a market stall and identified through possibly the worst police sketch ever.

The news about Hug Phuoc was published by Lancaster online; as per the website, the sketch led to the arrest of the accused thief at the Central Market stand in Lancaster.

Hung Phuoc Nguyen, 44, homeless, pretended to be an employee at a vendor's stand on Jan. 30 at 23 N. Market St. while a real employee was away. Nguyen was positively identified by a witness, investigators, and veteran officers who recognized his physical description and alleged motive, police said.

The claim appears to have originated from a satirical website, World News Daily Report, known for publishing fake news. The article was published on April 1, 2023, April Fool's Day.

The article claims that the FBI agents discovered the pictures on a laptop belonging to a man arrested on child pornography charges. However, there is no evidence to support this claim. The FBI has not released any information about the arrest, and there is no news report from a reliable source that corroborates the claim.

The website World News Daily Report disclaimer states, “World News Daily Report assumes all responsibility for the satirical nature of its articles and the fictional nature of their content. All characters appearing in the articles on this website - even those based on real people - are entirely fictional, and any resemblance between them and any person, living, dead or undead, is purely a miracle.”

Also, no reliable source confirms that the FBI raid at an NSA employee's home revealed over 4,000,000 files. I searched the web for information on this topic and found no credible news articles or reports.

In this case, the claim that the FBI found 4,000,000 pictures of men's penises is likely false. The article was published on April Fool's Day, and the source is a satirical website. No evidence supports the claim, and no reliable news sources have not reported it.
