Old Rs.500 & 1000 notes will be accepted in toll plazas,pharmacies,for onboard rail catering,LPG cylinder supplies, upto 11 Nov midnight.

Old Rs.500 & 1000 notes will also be accepted at ASI monuments for entry tickets.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had on Tuesday evening announced demonetisation of currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 denomination to stop the circulation of black money in India. PM Modi had announced that banks will remain closed on November 9 while ATMs will remain shut for two days i.e Wednesday and Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Finance Secretary Ashok Lavasa clarified on Wednesday that new currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 2,000 value will also be available for people to withdraw.
