India, Aakrosh Divas: The so called protest organized by the opposition parties, called as Aakrosh Divas.

In shifting gears and stances the opposition party doesn’t seems to well organize to what to do post demonetisation. They can’t go against demonetisation, as this will send a bad signal to the public, that they are against corruption and they can’t even oppose BJP totally with Demonetisation since BJP has brought this scheme of demonetisation.

After many refinements like, some parties like Arvind Kejriwal (AAP) and Mamta (TMC) who earlier gave three days ultimatum to revoke back this decision, to calling it totally a bad decision by the central government.  Now it looks like the opposition is very cautious in the word it takes, it has called this strike as a national Aakrosh Diwas, to involve the public to show their inconvenience caused due to this.

The Band, called by the major opposition parties to protest BJP-ruled Centre’s November 8 decision to demonetize Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes, may have little effect in Bengaluru, despite being the capital of one of just a handful of Congress-ruled states in India. All the major services – including transport, schools & colleges, and work places – will have a normal day.

The schools which were still thinking whether to remain open or not on Monday, have finally decided not to declare it as a holiday. The school associations say there have been too many holidays, and as they are finding it tough to complete the portions in time, they do not want to take chances.

On 8th of November, Respected Prime Minister of India declared a ‘Dharmayuddha’ against black money with his historic Demonetization move. But friends, the hoarders are irked. The Naxals are annoyed. Terrorists are peeved. And the opposition is absolutely rattled.
But they are unified too and are going to show their strength.

This Monday, they have declared Bharat Bandh.

Although Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) and Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) buses had kept off the roads during previous bandhs, this time around, the buses are likely to ply.


The reason is that the unions associated with bus transportation, autos and cabs have distanced themselves from the protest.

Meanwhile, the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee has decided to submit a memorandum to Governor Acharya Devvrat on inconvenience to people tomorrow but it has decided to abstain from participating in the protest.

The CPM and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will protest the demonetisation as Aakrosh Divas.

 WHY BANDH MAY NOT BE SUCCESSFUL

Karnataka, The state has already seen several band this year especially over the Cauvery water crisis in September and many faced the heat with police arresting more than 5,000 people across the city. Many of them were sent to Parappana Agrahara Central Jail, and coming out on bail only recently.
On the other hand, although the state government has announced that it is not officially supporting the protests, the Congress as a political party will support the protests.

BJP is opposing Aakrosh Divas, while the JDS has said that it remains neutral.
So, only a few hardcore party workers and leaders may hit the roads.

Most of the general public is supporting the government on the decision of demonetization; they say they faced some initial problems but are able to handle the situation much better now. It is also seen in the public that who are opposing demonetisation are also against black money.
Most of the people who would liked to participate in the protests are left with limited new currency notes, which they may prefer to spend on daily needs instead of fuel for their vehicles to go on rallies.
