NEW DELHI: The National Executive meeting of the ruling party Janata Dal (Joint) of Bihar has been held in Patna on Saturday.

Bihar Chief Minister and JD (U) chief Nitish Kumar is likely to formally participate with the Grand Alliance and there is a possibility of joining BJP-led NDA.Sharad Yadav's loyalist who is opposing joining hands of BJP, is also organizing a program called 'Jan Adalat' at SK Memorial Hall.

A National Executive Committee meeting of JD (U) has been called in the official residence of its national president and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, where the party is formally expected to accept the invitation to join BJP-led NDA.

After Nitish made the new government in Bihar with the support of the BJP, JD-U leader Sharad Yadav and Rajya Sabha MP Ali Anwar rebelled. However, the Chief Minister of Bihar is ready to emerge as the party's undisputed leader in this meeting.

JD-U Secretary-General and spokesman K.C. Tyagi said, "The National Executive Committee will be informed that why the decision to separate from RJD was allocated with BJP." It is clear from both meetings that the line of battle within JD (U) is drawn and the party is going for a vertical division. However, JD (U) principal secretary general K. T. Tyagi, however, said that there is no division and Yadav has left "voluntarily".
