Chennai, AIADMK: The AIADMK officially tweeted today at around 3:30 PM that Sasikala Natarajan, the aide of the late J Jayalalithaa, would be the next chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

She would be replacing O Panneerselvam. She was elected the AIADMK’s Legislature Party leader on Sunday, paving the way for her elevation as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.

Twitteed AIADMK “ Honourable CM Thiru.O.Panneerselvam proposed the name of Chinnamma as the leader of AIADMK Legislature Party Leader”.

MK Stalin has tweeted earliar that “People of #TamilNadu did not vote for anyone from #Jayalalithaa's household to become CM: DMK Working President @mkstalin to PTI.”

She was appointed as Party General Secretary the top decision-making body General Council on December 29.  Further she took charge of the post on December 31, pledging to take forward the legacy of Jayalalithaa and State forward.
