New Delhi: Rajgauri Pawar, she is just 12 years old but she is one who has just beat the marks of Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking. Rajgauri Pawar is a Indian-origin girl, who lives in England, has just scored 162 points in the Mensa IQ test, two points higher than geniuses Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking. What a incredible achievement.
Rajgauri Pawar, she appeared for the test last month and has been invited to join the British Mensa IQ Society. The 12-year-old is one of only 20,000 people to achieve the score worldwide and among this only about 1500 are childrens.
Rajgauri Pawar said that she was a little nervous before the test but it was fine and I'm really pleased to have done so well.
Pawar joins the elite British Mensa IQ Society.
Her father Dr Surajkumar Pawar said, "This wouldn't have been possible without the efforts of her teachers and the support which my daughter enjoys every day at school".
Rajgauri said: “I was preparing for entrance exams to secondary schools. I secured admission at Altrincham Girls Grammar School, Altrincham is one of the coveted institutions in the UK, and my parents suggested that I attempt the British Mensa IQ test.
Anyone above the age of 10.5 years can take the exams. As it was something different and was like a competition across all age groups, it sounded interesting and worth focusing on.” Said Rajgauri’s father.
Mensa is the largest and oldest high IQ society in the world. It is a non-profit organization open to people who score at the 98th percentile or higher on a standardized, supervised IQ or other approved intelligence test. Mensa formally comprises national groups and the umbrella organization Mensa International, with a registered office in Caythorpe, Lincolnshire, England. The word mensa means "table" in Latin, as is symbolized in the organization's logo, and was chosen to demonstrate the round-table nature of the organization; the coming together of equals.
