It seems the right time has come for the Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav to  finally broke his silence over his relation with son Akhilesh Yadav which became the talk of the town last year and especially during the election.

Mulayam was Speaking to reporters in Mainpuri, Uttar Prades, the 77-year-old leader of the SP said he has never felt as insulted in his life as he did during the five years of Akhilesh’s term as CM.

Slamming his son Akhilesh Yadav for insulting him and uncle Shivpal Yadav, Mulayam Singh Yadav said PM Narendra Modi was right about Akhilesh.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kannauj rally during the state assembly elections said that how can a man who has insulted his father, can be loyal to the people of the state, Mulayam seems to support Modi's views on the issue and said "Ye sahi hai ki jo baap ka nahin hua, wo kisi ka nahin ho sakta".

Mulayam claimed that the said statement made by Narendra Modi had certainly affected vote shares of Akhilesh, as the voters understood what he did to his father Mulayam.

Mulayam said ‘I allowed Akhilesh to become CM of Uttar Pradesh when no father allows his son to become chief minister during his life time. He continued insulting me for five years and talked to me only for five minutes,”.

The people voted for me as the Chief Minister in 2012 I chose to make Akhilesh the Chief Minister, but he humiliated me ever after," MSY said.  

Akhilesh staged a coup against his father just before the UP polls and took control of the party, sidelining Mulayam and his influential brother Shivpal. The CM Akhilesh also forged an alliance with the Congress against his father’s wishes but suffered a huge shock loss in the assembly polls, winning just 47 seats in the 403-member assembly.
