New Delhi: Challenge to hack the EVM machine given by Election Commission has started in Delhi's office in Delhi. In this challenge, only two national parties NCP and CPI (M) were participating, but soon after the challenge began, both give up and retracted the challenge saying that they had just come to understand its process.

As per the information, the representatives of CPM and NCP had come to take this challenge. They were given 4-4 EVM machines each. However after trying for two hours, they said that they only came to understand its process.

Looks like the AAP party which was highly vociferous with all this EVM issue did the right thing in not participating. Thinking if you can’t succeed they why to try even and loose.  However it is good that at least CPM and NCP tried to participate the event and take the challenge, instead of just not even trying.

Earliar the challenge to hack the EVM machine given by the Election Commission will start today. Only two national parties, NCP and CPI (M) will participate in this challenge. This challenge will start from 10 a.m. On the other hand, the Nainital High Court on Friday rejected the petition filed against the Central Election Commission's EVM Challenge. The High Court says that the Election Commission has the right to remove its doubts. The High Court's decision is being seen as a victory of the commission.

BSP and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had alleged that the electronic voting machines used in the recent assembly elections were tampered with and benefited the BJP through them. The Election Commission challenged the parties accusing these allegations that they prove that the EVM can be tampered with. After this challenge of the Commission, only NCP and CPI (M) came forward to participate in the challenge.

14 EVM machines brought from all over India

The Election Commission has floated 14 EVMs across the country for this challenge. The commission has floated machines from those states, where the elections were held recently. An EVM used in Patiala, Bathinda, Punjab, Gautam Buddha Nagar in Uttar Pradesh, Ghaziabad and Dehradun of Uttarakhand have been procured.

Not allowed to change motherboard

The Election Commission has already clarified that there will EVM will be a challenge, but it cannot be called a hackathon. The AAP political party had asked permission to change the EVM's motherboard, but the commission rejected it. Said that if the motherboard was changed, then how will it be the real EVM?

For four or four hours, both parties will meet

Those who attend the challenge will get four to four hour’s time. The challenge will start at 10 a.m. and it will end at two o'clock. The court rejected the PIL challenging EC's EVM challenge
 
The Uttarakhand High Court rejected the PIL challenging the Election Commission challenging the Constitutionality of the EVM challenge and said there was no scope for doubt on voting machines.

The EVM hacking will start from 10 o'clock in the morning and parties will have four hours till two o'clock to prove that the election result can be affected by tampering EVMs. It will be in two stages. In the first phase, the parties have to prove that the EVMs have been benefited by dividing the candidate or party special.

They have to change the result in the control unit and show it. For this, they will be able to use the machines' buttons. Also the use of devices like mobile and Bluetooth will also be free. In the second phase, they have to prove that machines used in assembly elections were tampered with before the elections. Two separate counters are being set up for both parties.

AAP Part step back from Hacking

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) who raises the most questions on EVMs will not participate in this challenge. Instead they will organize a parallel challenge on the lines of the Election Commission on Saturday. The Election Commission has not yet responded to AAP another challenge, where it said that people are called upon to hack the machines provided by AAP party.
