New Delhi: Nirmala Sitharaman has been made the new defense minister of India, she was the part of the cabinet expansion. Nirmala Sitharaman was formerly the Commerce Minister of the country. When Indira Gandhi was the Prime Minister, she had a defense with herself from the Ministry of Defense. If we leave Indira Gandhi then Nirmala Sitharaman is the first woman in the country who has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Defense. Nirmala Sitharaman, who has effectively kept India's concern on the international stage of being influenced by Indian companies, and especially IT service providers, in the Visa rules in the US, has been promoted in the Narendra Modi Cabinet today. oday, she has been sworn in as the cabinet minister. Nirmala Sitharaman, who lived in Andhra Pradesh, was till now holding the responsibility of the Council of Ministers of Commerce and Industry: Independent Charge. Earlier, she was the Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs. Nirmala, who remained in the Bharatiya Janata Party as spokesperson, was associated with this party in 2006. As a spokesperson, she effectively propagated and defended his party's policies on various media forums. Interestingly, while in this role Nirmala had become very popular in Gujarat compared to Delhi. While in the Lok Sabha elections in 2014, while being a BJP spokesperson, Nirmala has effectively promoted the message "Modi for the post of Prime Minister".

She was elected from Andhra Pradesh and later from Karnataka for the Rajya Sabha. Born on 18 August 1959 in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, Nirmala holds an MA in Economics from the Jawaharlal Nehru University. Then she did PhD and MPhil in the 'India-European Textile Business' within the framework of GATT. The very subject of the very simple nature of Nirmala was 'Globalization and its effect on developing countries'. In 1986, Nirmala was married to Palkar Prabhakar and the couple moved to London. There, Nirmala served as Senior Manager in Prize Water House Coopers and worked for BBC World Service. In 1991, Nirmala and her husband came to India. Nirmala, founder member of Pranav School, run in Hyderabad, was a Member of the National Commission for Women from 2003 to 2005.

In representing the Defense Minister post, Nirmala Sitharaman, there are challenges on many fronts. The continuous Ceasefire violation of Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir has been a major source of trouble for the country's security. Despite a temporary solution to the doklam dispute, the country's concern about China remains intact. The new Defense Minister will have to demonstrate her leadership capacity on these two fronts. Apart from this, there are many issues like terrorism, modernization of army, procurement of arms, Rafael Deal, where Nirmala Sitharaman's leadership quality will be examined.
