Jammu and Kashmir, Pampore attack 2016: Militants attacked the army convey in Pampore near Srinagar on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway this afternoon. Three soldiers were killed subsequently in that attack. Two other soldiers were injured. According to a police officer, this afternoon, the terrorists opened fire on an army convoy in Pampore area of Pulwama district in Kadlabal.
There were many public standing on the national highway, due to which the army could not retaliate because of which the terrorist were able to escape.
As per reports, the army cordoned off the area, and the terrorists are being searched extensively. They came on motorcycles and opened fire on the bus convey, after which the terrorists fled. This event happened in evening at around 3.30
Previous Attack in this area
Earlier there was also an attack in Pampore, it happened in October. When terrorist were hiding in a government flat and two terrorists were killed during the rescue operation. The rescue operation was carried for 60 hours, after which the terrorist were killed.
Earlier in February, three terrorists had targeted the building. 48 hours after the militants were killed in the encounter. 5 soldiers, one civilian were killed in the encounter.
