New Delhi: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday alleged that the attack on his convoy was carried out by people from BJP and this is PM Modi's way of politics.

Rahul told people minutes after the incident "I came to feel your pain. They showed black flags and threw stones at me. I got down and walked towards them. Socha dekhta hoon kitna dum hai (Thought I would see how much they had it in them). They were eight to 10 people carrying stones. But as I approached them, they ran away."
On Friday 4 august, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi's car was pelted with stones during his visit to this flood-affected town but he escaped unhurt.
Reacting to the attack, Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi asked, “Are we reaching a space in our democracy where political opponents are not going to be allowed to practice democratic politics?”
It is a pre-planned conspiracy. It is a murderous attack by BJP, RSS,” another senior Congress leader Gulam Nabi Azad said.
BJP playing down the attack on Rahul Gandhi termed his visit to flood hit areas in Gujarat.
