New Delhi, LPG Cylinder:  The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum and state-owned fuel retailer have come up with a discount offer of up to Rs 5 on every cylinder refill if booking and payment done online.

To provide and help promote the cashless transactions the central government have asked the Petroleum companies to pay the consumers .75 percent discount on cashless transaction. The Customers can make use the existing payments methods of online modes like net banking, credit and debit cards at the time of web-booking their refills.

When a Customers will be paying the discounted amount of Rs 5 at the time of payment. The discounted amount displayed on their screens. This net amount payable will be retail selling price minus incentive amount of Rs 5 per cylinder.

To promote cash-less transactions, the government had asked oil companies to pay consumers 0.75 percent discount on cashless fuelling of petrol and diesel at petrol pumps. This has now been extended to cooking gas (LPG).

The Government of India is encouraging the consumers to go cashless and use other means of payment. Such incentives will surely help in promotion of cashless transaction.
