Bharatiya Janata Party, Sakshi Maharaj: He once again he did it what he does the best, speaking something and dividing the people on religious line. However this time he has landed himself in serious trouble as he had disregarded the Supreme Court verdict on this.
Speaking at a crowd in Meerut the controversial BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj said the increase in population is due to Muslims.The community can keep four wives and 40 children are the main cause of it, however he did not take any direct name to any religion.
He said, “Population is increased by those who support the concept of four wives and 40 children."
His statement is clearly violating the Supreme Court, which stated some days back that the vote in the name of religion should not be sought. However Sakshi Maharaj was not at an election rally, nor was he promoting any election party.
BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj was addressed a assembled crowd. He made a statement that can be seen as the first communal statement in the upcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh. It will now be up to the EC to take action against Sakshi Maharaj's statement or not. Sakshi Maharaj, has done like this many times before.
