Lucknow: In accordance with the Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra, BJP’s UP team is putting it on the ground. After meeting with different officials UP CM Yogi Adityanath has asked them to make a plan for the benefit of poor girl child in Uttar Pradesh. The new scheme named “Bhagya Lakshmi Yojna” to give Rs. 50, 000 on the birth of a girl child in poor families.

Earlier UP CM reviewed different welfare schemes and scrapped Samajwadi’s Pension scheme and has asked officials to get a detailed list of the people benefitting from the scheme. It may have come to the notice of CM about irregularities in the above scheme and whether the deserving people are benefitting or the other. There was also suggestion to name it “Mukhyamantri Pension Yojna”.

Bhagya Laksmi Yojna’ will benefit the poor families on the development of girl child. Under this scheme when girl studies at class VI, she will get Rs.3000, at class VIII she will get Rs.5000, at class X will get Rs.7000, on XII Rs. 8000 and when she attains the age of 21, 2 lakh will be provided.

Yogi’s move has certainly created a hope for poor girl child who are unable to get higher studies due to lack of financial support. The education system in UP especially in rural areas has not been very good , so this scheme may be a boon for them.
