Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh: The lone suspected terrorist who was gunned down by the security forces was self radicalized and was influenced by literature, said Additional Director General of the Uttar Pradesh Police (ADG UP) Daljeet Chaudhary.

He further said "people these days are self radicalize themselves. They come under the influence of literature after reading them. Apart from these, they follow social media for the same.

Earlier the police recovered eight pistols, three passports, above 600 cartridges, bomb making instruments, wires, compass, timers etc.

ADG UP said, "The Anti-Terrorist Squad accompanied by civil police completed the terrorist operation in the lucknow Encounter. When the ATS reached the spot, the lone self-radicalised ISIS youth locked up himself inside the building and started talking about martyrdom"

"The ATS tried to convince him to come out but he kept firing. Tear gas shells were thrown at him and later he died in an exchange of fire between the two sides" he added further.

The Daljeet Chaudhary ADG also said that the four youth, who were living in the same building, were the ones who were also responsible for the IED blast that took place yesterday in the Bhopal Ujjain passenger train.

"The police have arrested other three terrorists named Atif Muzaffar(mastermind) and Md. Danish - residents of Kanpur and Syed Meer Hussain,"

Daljeet Chaudhary denied having any evidence of ISIS link with the incident.
