The Buddhist monk who set himself on fire in front of the Dalada Maligawa, Kandy in protest of cattle slaughter succumbed to his injuries at the National Hospita. The news was published on 24th May 2013.

The monk who set himself on fire outside the Dalada Maligawa Temple is a member of the Sihala Ravaya.

The image as posted by Breaking News-BN claims that it is a Pastor from Parkistan, check the spelling is also wrong. It is Pakistan and not Parkistan.
