India, New Delhi, Sep 22: The Delhi Congress party, Ajay Maken on Thursday raised question on the AAP government’s Mohalla Clinic Project, which has been extended for a year, alleging the clinics were housed in properties owned by party's legislators and workers.
Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken said AAP party did this to extend financial benefits to people associated to the ruling party. Maken also wrote to the CVC complaining about the alleged practice.
It has to be noted that as per the Cantral Vigilance Commision guide lines such properties should be only acquired only by tender, Maken said.
“These clinics have been opened on the properties of AAP members on high rents. They are being paid much more than the market trend,” Maken said.
“We have found that the Mohalla Clinics that have been taken up on rent do not abide by the guidelines and rules of the Central Vigilance Commission. No advertisements or tenders were posted by AAP,” he added.
