The Flying Horse Navjot Singh Sidhu Joins Congress Party, tamed by Rahul
New Delhi, Navjot Singh Sidhu: It looked like one of India’s loved Cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu would never be working under some one, under a High Command. However Navjot Singh Sidhu broke this myth of many on Sunday and joined the Congress just ahead of the Punjab Assembly polls.
Sidhu had resigned from the BJP in September 2016. He had always been a man of his own following always his own instinct and interest. However after joining congress it is all set that the flying horse of the Indian politics has been tamed by the Congress Party and Rahul Gandhi.
He joins congress today in the presence of party vice-president Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi.
Navjot Singh, had represented Amritsar in the Lok Sabha between 2004 and 2014, had accused the BJP of using him as mere decorative piece and trying to keep him out of Punjab.
Some month back after he resigned from the BJP, He had formed a new political party in Punjab, Aawaaz-e-Punjab. Together with India's former hockey captain Pargat Singh and Punjab MLAs Simarjit Singh Bains and Balwant Singh Bains.
