UP Election 2017: Akhilesh Yadav drives away cycle from Mulayam Singh Yadav

UP Election 2017: Looks like the cycle war is over between the Mulayam Singh and Akhilesh Singh Yadav. As per media information the Election Commission has allotted the Cycle symbol to Akhilesh Yadav group and reports coming out from media suggest that Mulayam Singh is going to move the court over this decision.

The decision was taken by three members Election Commission headed by Nasim Zaidi.

"The commission hereby answers the issue by holding that the groups led by Akhilesh Yadav is the Samajwadi Party and is entitled to use its name and its reserved symbol Bicycle for the purposes of the Election symbols (Reservation and allotment) order 1968," the EC order said.

Ram Gopal Yadav welcomed the EC's decision, He also said that the list of candidates for the first phases of the election will be declared in the next two or three days.

Speaking to Times Now Ram Gopal Yadav said “We just want to go back to Lucknow now and win the elections”

Earlier the Father and the Son were fighting over the cycle, after Akhilesh got the support of more than 200 Party MLA in his favor. Mulayam Singh went over to Election over the cycle symbol. It will be interesting to see how the other old guards are supporting this and what will be there statement on this. Especially Azam Khan and Mulayam Singh next moves will be keenly watched.
