News Claim: A video is increasingly going popular on social media these days. In which it is claimed that the King of Bahrain has brought his robot bodyguard to Dubai. A man wearing a white scarf can be seen in the 30-second clip being followed by a robot. Some other persons can be seen following this person in addition to the robot.

Posting this viral video on social media, the caption read, 'The King of Bahrain has come to Dubai with his robot bodyguard. This robot has many cameras and pistols. For the first time in history technology is advancing rapidly. Now politicians can also order such bodyguards

News Verification:  We have verified this claim and found it to be a false claim.

The man in the video is not the King of Bahrain and the robot is also not a bodyguard. Apart from Twitter, this video has also been shared by an Assamese news channel on Facebook.

On February 24, 2019, the whole version of this video was also uploaded to YouTube. Additionally, it has been reported that this 8-foot-long robot greeted guests at the UAE Defense Show in Abu Dhabi. The 3 minutes, 28 second YouTube video shows the robot walking.

Apart from this, the UAE flag is also visible on the hand and shoulder of the robot. According to reports, the Chief of Staff of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF), Lieutenant General Dhaiyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi was at the UAE's 2020 exhibition.
