It is being claimed in the tweet that the platform ticket was Rs 3 in the Congress government, which has increased to Rs 50 in the BJP government. Let's see what happened. In such a situation, the question was arising in the minds of the people whether platform tickets have really become Rs 50.

News Verification: This claim has been clarified by PIB Fact Check. It has been said on behalf of PIB that in a tweet, a misleading claim is being made that the price of platform ticket of Indian Railways has gone up to Rs 50. But the truth is that the price of rail platform ticket is only 10 rupees. Keeping in view the possibility of congestion and accident in special circumstances, its price can be increased in the short term through DRM.In such a situation, PIB has termed this entire claim as misleading.

In another tweet from PIB, it has also been informed that in the year 2012, the price of railway platform ticket was increased from Rs.3 to Rs.5. 

News Verdict: The price of railway platform ticket has not gone up to Rs 50. Rail platform ticket costs ₹10 only.
