News Claim: A video of Pakistani National Assembly on social media is viral where it's claimed that in Pakistan Parliament MPs chanted 'Modi-Modi' slogans.

News Verification: Many reputed media institutions and politicians shared a video of Pakistan's Parliament on Twitter and Facebook.

When the matter was investigated, the claims of journalists on social media proved to be false. The members of the National Assembly of Pakistan were seeking vote on the resolution against rising Islamophobia and thus were shouting "voting, voting" while Shah Mehmood Qureshi was speaking. One can also see that the speaker, Qasim Suri is seen telling Assembly,Voting will happen. ('Voting Sab Kuch Hoga'.)

If we listen to the video we can only hear that the only slogan that was raised mentioning Modi was ‘'Modi ka jo yaar hai, Gaddar hai gaddar hai'.

Independent journalist Aditya Raj Kaul confirmed that Pakistani politicians chanted ‘voting-voting’ .. not Modi...Modi in the Parliament.

News Verdict: We found in our investigation that the MPs in Pakistan’s parliament were chanting “voting, voting” and not “Modi, Modi”. Hence the viral news is false.
