Bihar Boat Tragedy, NIT ghat: Festivals are meant in any community to help the people or the set of people who follow any of such festival to enjoy. Festival are made for the people first and not people for the festival, then why we do not care our life first, if we are participation of any of the such events which are related in the name of religion and festivals.

Rescue operations are still underway, a high level meeting is chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on the boat tragedy that claimed 24 lives, including some minors. The biggest question Nitish can answer.

As the divers are in the water to search for any more bodies, yet another team of police is on the search to arrest the owner of the amusement park and the boat owners for illegally ferrying passengers across the river.

As per the report from times, there are several things which have come to light. Heavy  advertisements were put across all the places to make this kite festival a great success but it didn't do enough to ensure their safety.

The boat overturned yesterday near NIT ghat as it was overcrowded, no life jacket on for the people who were returning home after the event.

The boat, which had around 40 people on board who were returning to Ranighat in Patna from Sabalpur diara (riverine area), was retrieved from the river.

Lalu expresses his sadness over the incident

RJD chief Lalu Prasad expressed grief over the boat tragedy and said CM Nitish has ordered a probe into the incident and stern action should be taken against the officials on the basis of the inquiry report.

Anita Devi  (State Tourism Minister) rejected the suggestions that adequate arrangements had not been made by the department for the event. She said “there was heavy rush after 2 pm and authorities warned people not to venture towards amusement park but people did not listen”.

Apeople who participate the kite flying event t said the Bihar government and tourism department are responsible for the tragedy. Looks like unlike other incidents this incidents will lso go unnoticed without anything to be learned by the people who risked their life and by the government who will never take the blame.

The opposition blamed alleged mismanagement from the organizers and negligence at a government-organized event for the incident.

An FIR was filed with Sonepur police station against persons running an amusement park at Sabalpur  diara and against the boat operators for illegally ferrying passengers between Saran and Patna districts.

Sushil Modi (BJP) alleged that the negligence of Bihar government led to the boat overturn that claimed 24 lives and said CM Nitish Kumar should take responsibility for the tragedy.
