New Delhi, Delhi Government: Going ahead with the Delhi metro expansion Arvind Kejriwal led AAP government in Delhi gave the green signal to the Delhi metro phase 4 plan. This expansion will help the metro to cover outskirts of Delhi and will make the airport more accessible.
Highlights of the Delhi metro phase in KM
The 4th phase of the Delhi metro will consist of 113 kilometer metro network expansion
The first corridors will be between Rithala to Narela, which will be 21.73 kilometers
The Second corridors will be from west janakpuri to R K Ashram, which will be 28.92 KM
Aerocity to tughlakbad will be between 20.20 Kilometer, this will run between Saket G block
Fourth corridor will be from Inderlok to Indraprastha which will be 12.58 KM
The expansion will help Delhi metro to reach in each to and every corner of Delhi
Later Manish Sisodia, the Deputy CM of New Delhi also tweeted on Delhi metro expansion he said ”Delhi Government gave given permission for the Delhi Metro phase 4, and as per this the work will be done on 6 new routes, it will cover 113 KM long metro line will be built and in the metro 8.5 lakh passengers will be added”
The Delhi Planned 4th Phase will be adding several new growth.
It will have 72 new stations built for the 113 Kilometer project and it will cost more Rs 50,000 crore.
However the work will be started only when the central government gives the clearance and it will take 6 years to completion.
Current Metro: at present the operation length o the track in delhi metro is 213 KM and the phase 3 which will be launched in 2017 will see another 140 KM added to it.
