New Delhi, Manoj Tiwari: This can be termed as the first major scan post demonetisation and as accused by the Delhi BJP unit. The Newly appointed BJP Delhi unit President Manoj Tiwari on Thursday accused Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of indulging in a major scam.

"AAP is using the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) to exchange Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes." Said Manoj Tiwari, The famous singer from Bihar, now BJP Head in New Delhi.

He Said "This is the first established post demonetisation scam,".

The allegation from BJP came after the DTC deposited Rs 3 crore revenue, most of it in demonetized notes.

"It is beyond comprehension that how so many high denomination notes can surface at the DTC which sells tickets of Rs 5 and 10," Tiwari said.

Tiwari said that his party had raised this issue with the Lt. Governor of Delhi on November 21 and later wrote to the Anti Corruption Branch (ACB).

On Nov 8, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that starting November 9, all Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes would no longer be legal tender.
