Is the Congress party on free fall because of Rahul Gandhi

Rahul Gandhi has been critical of the Adani Group, one of the largest conglomerates in India. He has accused the Adani Group of receiving preferential treatment from the government and of benefiting from crony capitalism. Rahul Gandhi has also raised concerns about the environmental impact of the Adani Group's projects.

However, it is worth noting that the Adani Group has denied these allegations and has stated that it operates with integrity and transparency.

However, Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi seems to be trapped in the cycle of politics. In a defamation case, on Thursday, a Surat court sentenced him to two years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 15,000. However, while taking the bail of Rahul Gandhi at the same time, the court had given him time to appeal in the higher court in a month. Based on this decision of the lower court, the Lok Sabha today terminated the membership of Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi will have to appeal in the higher court in his defence, only then he will be able to avoid going to jail and his membership of Parliament will also be saved.

Before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, during a rally in Kolar, Karnataka, Rahul Gandhi had said why all thieves have Modi as their surname. Be it Lalit Modi, Nirav Modi or Narendra Modi. Regarding this, Surat West BJP MLA Purnesh Modi filed a defamation case against Rahul Gandhi and said that Rahul Gandhi has called our entire society a thief and this is defamation of our society. During the hearing of this case, Rahul Gandhi appeared in the Surat court thrice and was declared innocent. In this case, the court of Surat's Chief Judicial Magistrate HS Verma convicted Rahul Gandhi under sections 499 and 500 of the Indian Penal Code. But along with this, while giving him bail, the sentence was suspended for 30 days. So that they can get a chance to appeal in the High Court.

Only 26 hours after the Surat court sentenced Rahul Gandhi, the Lok Sabha disqualified him from membership. If the speaker of the Lok Sabha wanted, he could have been kept as a member of parliament until the decision of the upper court. But under the pressure of the government, his membership has been cancelled very quickly. Rahul Gandhi is besieged from all sides by the decision of the court. He will soon have to present his side by appealing in the Gujarat High Court. If Rahul Gandhi does not get relief even from the High Court, then he will be ineligible to contest elections for the next eight years.

At present, the Congress party is surrounded from all sides. Politically also the party is getting weak. In such a situation, the imprisonment of Rahul Gandhi and the loss of his membership in Parliament is a big blow for the Congress party. The Congress party will have to take its legal steps very carefully. You will have to put your side firmly in the court. If Rahul Gandhi gets relief from the upper court, then it will be a great relief for the Congress party.

The central government is in a completely attacking mood on all the other opposition parties of the country including the Congress. Leaders of opposition parties are continuously being targeted through government agencies. Lok Sabha elections are to be held in 2024. Before that, assembly elections will also be held in many states including Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Karnataka. Where Congress has to compete directly with BJP. In such a situation, BJP wants to weaken the morale of Congress leaders by suppressing them in various ways.

To avoid such a situation, Rahul Gandhi should remove those people from the leaders stationed around him, who are taking support from Rahul Gandhi only to advance themselves. Many leaders without a mass base are sitting in big positions with the help of Rahul Gandhi. Whose public base is zero? There are many leaders posted on big posts who have never contested elections in their life to date. Many big leaders have lost many elections in a row.

Leaders without a mass bases, taking advantage of their proximity to Rahul Gandhi, often give him wrong advice to make their numbers in his eyes. Rahul Gandhi should know that the words spoken cannot be taken back. In political life, the use of such words should be avoided, the result of which is negative. Today Rahul Gandhi has been convicted by the court only because of his wrong statements.

If Rahul Gandhi does not get relief from Gujarat High Court, then he will have to go to jail. With this, he will not be able to contest any election for the next 8 years. This will end his entire political credibility. And the leaders of the BJP want that the credibility of Rahul Gandhi should be destroyed. Rahul Gandhi deliberately gives them such opportunities. Right now four more defamation cases are going on against Rahul Gandhi. The decision is yet to come. Cases are going on in Bhiwandi Court in Maharashtra, in Guwahati Court in Assam, in a court in Ranchi and in Shivdi Court in Mazgaon, Maharashtra.

Congress leaders should create a strong opposition front in the whole country like Maharashtra so that it can give a tough fight to the BJP in the coming elections. The BJP was completely stunned by the success of Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra. In order to reduce the effect of that padayatra, the leaders of the Congress party are being pressurized in various ways. If the leaders of all the opposition parties leave their egos and fight unitedly, then the BJP will not be able to stand anywhere in front of them. BJP leaders are also aware of this, and that's why various tactics are being used to create division in the opposition parties, with which there is a need to proceed cautiously.
