Lucknow, Mayawati: Just before the Upcoming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, The Income tax department is tightening its screws on BSP superemo Mayawati by opening the Income tax cases against her. According to a report, before the assembly elections, action can be taken on five complaints related to income tax against Mayawati and her relatives.
According to the sources, the Income Tax Department of Uttar Pradesh is strategying itself by listing these cases carefully. As per the report from Economic Times the income tax has already started these investigations.
What are the various cases against Mayawati?
In 2012, BJP leader Kirit Sumaya's filed a complaint of large amount of financial manipulation by Mayawati.
There is another case by BJP minister Kalraj Mishra in which he has accused Mayawati along with her brother Anand Kumar in involvement of running false companies. He had sent a report on this to the Income Tax Department.
