Though the Samajwadi party clans may not be hundred in number and there may not be another group to fight. But the fight of the Yadav’s in the SP party is all within.

Intensifying the war within the samajwadi party, Mulayam Singh Yadav said he is sad and disappointed because of the ongoing dispute in the family and indirectly criticized UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.

"Jo bahut ucchal rahein hai agar baat aayi to ek laathi bhi nahin seh paaenge"(Those who are jumping so much can't even tolerate a stick at time), Mulayam Singh Yadav said.

"Instead of fighting our weaknesses we are fighting amongst ourselves," Mulayam added

Indirectly he was taking dig at Akhilesh Yadav, he said "Some ministers are just busy being sycophants. And people who can't think big can't be a minister. If you can't face criticism, you can't be a leader,"

"We have worked really hard to form this party. I am not a weak person, even to this day. Do not think that the youth is not with me," he added.

He also appreciated his brother and said Shivpal is the leader of the masses.

I will never forget the work Shivpal has done for me and Samajwadi Party. Drunkards, goons have been added to the party. You get some power and it goes to your head. Shivpal Yadav is the leader of the masses," he concluded.

There was a heated exchange between Mulayam and Akhilesh today. Mulayam even retorted and told the party workers, "Aap ka CM jhoot bol raha hai."(Your CM is lying). Akhilesh was clearly upset that Mulayam had vouched for Amar Singh. "He is not acceptable in the party," Akhilesh screamed on top of his voice.

Thie present political conflict within the SP party is similar to the DMK, when the DMK chief was unable to settle succession issues within the party. Karunanidhi was also torn in between aspirations of his children’s and grand children’s. Initially Mulayam, initially has to contend with different wives. Earliar he had made clear delineation of powers when he sent akhilesh to the lok sabha in 2000. But when he selected him as the UP chief minister, slowly and steadily the things were going wrong.
