Navjot Singh Sidhu resignation letter, Leadership did not accept Sidhu's resignation

Punjab, Sidhu Resigns: Cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu resigned from Punjab Congress Committee. This has a political earthquake and the Congress top leadership is clueless about all this. In Navjot Singh Sidhu resignation letter to Congress National President Sonia Gandhi, Sidhu has clearly said that he does not want to compromise with the future of Punjab. In fact, Sidhu is said to be angry about some decisions taken in the formation of the new government of Punjab. Congress MLA Bawa Henry has given a clear stamp on this in the latest statement. Henry said on Tuesday that Navjot Singh Sidhu's resignation (as Punjab Congress chief) has not been accepted, the matter will be resolved soon. There are 3-4 issues, which are being discussed in the party forum, and the high command will resolve them.

Navjot Singh Sidhu twitted on social media his resignation

Navjot Singh Sidhu on Tuesday resigned as the Congress's Punjab unit president, triggering a fresh crisis in the party just months ahead of the assembly elections in the state. Hours after Sidhu's resignation, Razia Sultana, who was included in the 18-member new cabinet led by Charanjit Singh Channi, also tendered her resignation expressing solidarity with the former cricketer. Apart from this, many people of the party announced their resignation.

Let us know what were the reasons due to which Navjot Singh Sidhu decided to withdraw from the mainstream of the party.

1. Portfolio allocation in Punjab cabinet
is believed Congress sources immediately after the allocation of members of the new cabinet in Punjab departments Sidhu left post. The reason for this in party circles is the allocation of the Home portfolio to Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa by the new Chief Minister. In fact, this is being said because earlier Sidhu had opposed the appointment of Randhawa as the Chief Minister. After this, the Congress high command made Channi the Chief Minister.

Sidhu was also unhappy with the transfer of some officers, according to Congress sources, the mood had changed after Charanjit Singh Channi took over as the new CM of Punjab. He took decisions on his own by sidelining Sidhu. Due to this Navjot Singh Sidhu's displeasure increased. The Punjab CM also brushed off his displeasure over the appointment of a new acting police chief and state advocate general.

3. Letter of Amritsar Improvement Trust
Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu wanted to hand over the letter of Amritsar Improvement Trust himself, but Charanjit Singh Channi did not give importance to it. After this, Channi himself handed over this letter. This increased resentment between the two.
'Cannot compromise the future of Punjab'
Sidhu said in his letter to Sonia Gandhi that the decline in the personality of any person starts with compromise, I cannot compromise on the future of Punjab and the agenda of Punjab's welfare. Therefore, I resign as the President of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee. I will continue to serve Congress.

Difficult to see the way ahead
Till a few days back, everything was progressing according to Sidhu in Punjab. Bypassing Captain's opposition, the Congress high command made him the head of the Punjab Congress. In the battle of Sidhu vs Captain which was going on in Punjab, Sidhu won the first match. His purpose was clear and the CM's chair was on target. Events change rapidly after taking over the reins of the party and a few days later, Captain Amarinder is forced to resign as the CM of Punjab.

Along with resigning, the Captain made many serious allegations on Sidhu adding Pakistan angle. Everyone's eyes are on who is the new captain of Punjab. Sidhu lags behind in this race and the command goes into the hands of Charanjit Singh Channi. Shortly before the election, the new CM is announced, even it was okay, and perhaps Navjot Singh Sidhu felt that after the elections, he would bat vigorously.

When Charanjit Singh Channi, who started batting on the pitch of politics, sat on the chair of Punjab CM, it was said by some people that his role would be like a night watchman. Whereas in reality, it was nothing like that. Channi is seen batting as soon as he is sworn in as CM. He made several such announcements one after the other and in the manner in which he presented himself, it seemed that Channi was ready to bat long. Holds a meeting with the officials and talks about taking action on corruption.
