Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will expand his cabinet today. It is expected that 14 to16 ministers will take oath this evening in Patna.

The swearing in ceremony has been rescheduled to 5 pm. Earlier, it was schedule to take place at 3 pm.

On July 26, only Nitish Kumar and Sushil Kumar Modi took oath as Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister after JD-U parted ways with the RJD and the Congress leaving the grand alliance to join hands with the BJP-led NDA.

The Governor of Bihar Keshari Nath Tripathi, who recently went through a medical procedure at Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS), Patna, will administer the oath to the new members of Nitish cabinet. He is likely to be discharged from hospital after which the swearing will take place at Raj Bhawan.

 So many of the JD-U ministers of the grand alliance government are likely to be retained in the cabinet.  Here is the full list of the ministers of Nitish cabinet:

Earlier on July 26, Nitish, resigned as Bihar Chief Minister citing political differences with former ally, Lalu Prasad Yadav led Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), over corruption charges against the RJD supremo's son Tejashwi Yadav. On 26 july, he took oath as Bihar CM for the sixth time, marking a historic transition of the state from a Grand Alliance government to an NDA regime.
