Few days ago, Rahul Gandhi had surprised and stunned the Hindus after he had announced his Kailash Mansarovar yatra. Even though Rahul Gandhi is a janeu-dhari brahmin, this announcement was still unexpected.

The Congress party had informed the Indians that the Congress chief Rahul Gandhi had sought special permission to undertake the pilgrimage as the deadline for the registration to visit Kailash Mansarovar was over. The deadline for the registration process to visit had started on February 20 and ended on March 20.

Why Rahul Gandhi wanted to visit Mansarovar? The story is quite interesting!

Mount Kailash is a sacred place for not just Hinduism but also to Buddhism, Bön (Tibetan religion) and Jainism. During the Karnataka elections, the flight in which Rahul Gandhi was travelling allegedly faced a technical glitch.

After the alleged incident, Rahul Gandhi stated “A few days ago, we were on our way to Karnataka in an aircraft. And the aircraft suddenly came down by 8,000 feet. I thought ‘gaadi gayi’ (that it was all over)”.

But Rahul Gandhi miraculously survived from this alleged situation and he decided to visit Kailash Mansarovar, as a bribe to lord Shiva for saving the life of this 2019 PM candidate. In a public meet in Delhi Rahul Gandhi said “the moment I thought that it was all over, it struck my mind that I have to go to Kailash Mansarovar. So, I would require your leave of 10-15 days after the Karnataka Assembly polls”.

Rahul Gandhi’s lie busted? Rahul Gandhi did not apply for Mansarovar Yatra, claims MEA!

Yes, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has stated that there is no formal application filed by Rahul Gandhi to complete his desire to visit Mansarovar. Raveesh Kumar from MEA said “We have not received any formal request for Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Kailash Mansarovar Yatra”.

So the statement made by MEA has not just embarrassed Rahul Gandhi’s Congress party but has also unmasked the lies spread by Rahul Gandhi.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson also stated,

  • We have not received any formal request from Rahul Gandhi. There are two ways to travel to Mansarovar. One is to travel according to annual lottery system of the government, the other is to travel privately by the Nepal route. We have not yet received any request for both. If we get a formal request we can take it further.

It should be noted that the four-month travel period of the pilgrimage to Kailash Mansarovar Yatra had started on June 8. Thousands of Indian pilgrims take part in the Yatra every year via Nepal in the Tibetan Autonomous Region of China ahead of the monsoon season, stated the reports.

It should also be noted that the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is organised by the MEA each year between June and September in cooperation with the government of People’s Republic of China, through two different routes – Lipulekh Pass (Uttarakhand) and Nathu La Pass (Sikkim).

Now it is interesting to see how Rahul Gandhi and his team will respond after they are completely exposed by the MEA. In the year 2017, during the Gujarat elections, Rahul Gandhi’s team had claimed that he was not a Hindu but to cover this mistake (in election perspective) the Congress party had said that he is a Hindu, a Janeu-dhari brahmin.
