LAC Standoff: India and China to hold working mechanism meet this week
Working mechanism meeting between India and China is likely to be held this week. Sources suggest that it will happen as early as tomorrow. It will involve the officials from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Ministry of Defence, Military operations, Directorate, The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), and their Chinese counterparts.
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic crises, the meeting will be held virtually. Efforts will be underway to resolve the tension which is going on between India and China especially around the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
