Facts Check Analysis: In a short video shared by Hamid Mir on September 21, a Pakistan based journalist claiming torture being done by the Indian Army in Kasmir. However the journalist landed on a wrong foot, as the Video is from Pakistan and not from India.

Hamid tweeted this video with 14K likes and around 10k shares on the social media like twitter.

Many users on the social media claimed directly that this video is fake and actually from Pakistan.

If one watched the video, it can be seen at the 9^th second of the video, a crescent and a star, part of Pakistan’s flag, It can be seen on the t-shirt of one of the men in the video.

Earliar this same video was tweeted on July 4, 2018 as ‘Pakistan’s army torturing an innocent Baloch student’.

Many Pakistan users also commented as it was a video of the training imparted to the Special Service Group (SSG) an elite commando force within the Pakistan Army.

A video uploaded on 28, 2017 by media wave titled as SSG Interrogation Survival Training - See what happens during training, is quite similar to the present video. The footage has text as “The Footage shows the survival training of SSG .The SSG (Special Service Group) is elite force of the Pakistan Army. Its Ranked No. 1 in the world due to its tough training standard”

Finally to nail the truth, a tweeted by Pakistan defence, tweeted a video later claiming the video from Special Service Group (SSG) of Pakistan Army. It claimed that “This video belongs to Special Service Group (SSG) of Pakistan Army. It is a necessary part of a training module called "torture proofing" under the SERE training regime. Every SSG trainee is subjected to torture. This video has been used with wrong descriptions by many people.” However the tweet is currently not available on the social media. (Archived here)
