Currency notes of rs 2000 denomination are being systematically pulled out of circulation. Silently and slowly. So if you are holding them on large scale, start changing them to Rs 500 notes. This was confirmed by our bank manager today. He also said that you are no longer receiving 2knotes from ATMs. Which I realised is true after speaking to him. I have not received 2k notes over the last three withdrawals - only 500 and 100.
