No the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has not justified the action against the people who were involved in the riot, during the protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), which was passed by the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha. The rioter in the name of protest vandalized crores of properties in Uttar Pradesh and many other states. However, the vandalism was more in Uttar Pradesh.

Yogi Adityanath has earlier warned of strict action against the people who are caught and money would be recovered from the people themselves who are caught n the act. The official Twitter handle of Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath tweeted hailing the action sanctioned by the CM.

It read as, “

Translated: “Every rioter is shocked. Every troublemaker is shocked. Everybody has fallen silent after seeing the strictness of the Yogi Adityanath government. The Chief Minister has announced that anybody who damages public property will have to pay up. Every violent protester will cry now because there is a Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh,”

The NDTV seems to have deliberately mistranslated Yogi Adityanath’s Office’s tweet to present a false picture. Nowhere in the above tweet had the Yogi government justified the action, however it does talk of strict action and how it is self-praising itself. But still, the headline of the NDTV tries to imply that the Yogi government has done something wrong and now it is trying to justify the action against the peaceful people who burnt the public properties.

A political party like the Congress and other may have some intention to support the Mob rule, however, it is sad to see a media channel being biased over an incident.
