Guwahati: Nowadays, a Video of a young leader from Assam is going viral over youtube. A Video of Rupjyoti Kurmi, a Congress MLA from Assam’s Moriani constituency, is going viral on social media.
The MLA, known for his humbleness and this can be easily seen, when he is carrying sacks of flood relief material on his back.
He is Known as an MLA who is always ready to help the people, Rupjyoti Kurmi was doing this at a relief camp made for flood hit people in Kaziranga.
When Rupjyoti was asked why he was carrying sacks though he was an MLA, he said that he may be an MLA but he is also a human being.
He slammed the BJP’s state government as well as the central government for their failure to help out the flood victims in Assam.
He said the Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijuju had visited Assam recently and promised big things, but yet no help has come from the PM Modi-led central government so far.
It is really great to see MLA carrying sack on the back, truly this is a rare and one of it’s kind.
