New Delhi, September 13: While Delhi is under the attack of chikungunya and dengue, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders have fled the capital to visit places abroad

With 10 deaths in Delhi, it is under the attack of chikungunya and dengue, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders have fled the capital to visit places abroad and some are campaigning in other states ahead of assembly elections.

As per the latest reports CM Sisodia have extended the Finland trip by 9 days more.

The deputy chief minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia has flown to Finland on a first-class ticket. The single day event has been extended to 9 days which includes four days of sightseeing, Times Now exposed on Tuesday. Also, it is an informal event of 'World Skills Competition' that Sisodia is attending.

At least four deaths have been reported in Delhi from chikungunya further and Kejriwal, who is in Bengaluru for his throat surgery has once again blamed the LG for it.

Till now the number of chikungunya cases has risen to over 1,000, dengue cases has gone up to 1,158 in the national capital with nearly 390 of them being recorded in the first ten days of September

Other ministers including Gopal Rai and Imran Hussain are also absent from Delhi. The Environment and Food Minister Imran is in Saudi Arabia for the annual Haj pilgrimage while Rural Development Minister Gopal Rai is in Chhattisgarh, campaigning for AAP

Earlier in March, the not-so-Aam-Aadmi, Sisodia had flown to London along with a personal secretary for which the government spent nearly Rs 4 lakh. As per the guidelines, the permission of LG was not sought for the global trip.It was a four-day informal function. In absence of Kejriwal, he is the in-charge of Delhi.

 The incident had drawn sharp criticism from the opposition. BJP's Nalin Kohli said, "This is shocking. It is unacceptable. It is a fraud on the people & mandate of Delhi. In the name of the aam aadmi they are gallivanting to exotic places of the globe. They have all the money to waste of the public exchequer."

chikungunya is not a life-threatening disease in general, but in rare cases leads to complications that prove fatal, especially in children and old persons.  

What is chikungunya: It a viral disease resembling dengue, transmitted by mosquitoes and endemic in East Africa and parts of Asia.
