Equating Singhu border murder case to Nirbhaya gruesome murder

New Delhi: What happened to the man at the Singhu border is truly gruesome and it may also be compared to the gruesome incident that happened in the case of the Nirbhaya 2012 gang rape case. In 2012, December 16:  The incident took place when Jyoti Singh, a 22-year-old female physiotherapy intern, was beaten, gang-raped, and tortured in a private bus in which she was travelling with her male friend. There were six others in the bus, including the driver, all of whom raped the woman and beat her friend. It was a truly gruesome incident that happened in India. However now what has happened to the man who succumbed to death on the Singhu border is equally gruesome. His hands were chopped, tied up and bleed to death.

On Friday, the body of a person was found tied on the barricade behind the main stage of the protest site demanding the repeal of three agricultural laws. Along with beating him brutally, his right hand was chopped off. He was also dragged. The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Lakhbir Singh son Harnam Singh, resident of village Cheema Khurd in Tarn Taran district of Punjab. He was the father of three daughters. At present, his wife along with his daughters is living separately from Lakhbir. It is learned that when Lakhbir Singh was 6 months old, Harnam Singh had adopted him, while Harnam Singh is his uncle in the relationship.

Both the hands of the person have been hung with a rope tied to the barricade. It is alleged that some people have carried out the incident at the protest site itself.

Videos of the death of Lakhbir Singh are gruesome and people with light hearts will not be able to watch the way he died on camera.
