New Delhi, Rape case: The pain of nirbhaya, still looms our society and this can be seen once again from a similar event, a girl was raped in a moving car in Delhi's Moti Bagh are on Thursday night
According to the news channels, a 20 year old girl, who had taken lift from a car, was allegedly raped in the same car, on wednesday night in south Delhi’s Moti Bagh area. This is the same place where Nirbhaya incident happened 4 years back.
The car had a sticker of the Ministry of Home Affairs and it belongs to a CISF head-constable, the accused, believed to be the constable’s driver, has been arrested by the police. Police said the accused raped the woman on the pretext of giving her a lift.
As per india today, the victim was waiting for a bus near AIIMS on Wednesday night. The accused then stopped the car in front of the bus stop and offered to drop her to Noida. After driving her around for almost two-three hours, the driver parked the car near his residence in the Moti Bagh area and allegedly raped her.
The victim managed to escape and informed police officials who were patrolling nearby. The car was parked in the same place but the driver was absconding initially who was later caught from his friend’s home.
Looks like still is still not safe and enough safety measures are not there for women living in Delhi.
