News Claim: A picture of a girl called Muskan is going viral on social media regarding hijab controversy. It is being claimed in the viral pictures that 'Hijab Girl' Muskan wants to go to school wearing a hijab, but she wears jeans-t-shirt to roam around.

Muskan, who reached college wearing a hijab, was harassed by some youths wearing saffron rugs. When these boys raised slogans of Jai Shri Ram, in response, Muskaan raised slogans of 'Allahu Akbar' in front of them. Which became quite viral on social media.

The graphic has been widely shared on social media. It is being claimed in these pictures that, she wants to wear a hijab to school, but she does not feel the need for a hijab to move around. By sharing these pictures, an attempt is being made to claim that Muskan is usually photographed in a jeans t-shirt and while going to school she wore hijab and burqa for propaganda. In the first photo of this collage, a girl wearing a jeans-t-shirt is sitting in a park. At the same time, the second photo is from the time when he had a face-to-face with the boys in college.

News Verification: The woman wearing jeans in the photo is not Muskan. She is Najma Nazeer Chikkanarale, a member of Janata Dal (Secular) Karnataka. But these photos are being viral as a Muskan. In a conversation with the fact-checking website Alt News, Najma Nazir confirmed that she is the one in the photo going viral. She has posted several pictures in jeans and multiple others in hijab.

News Verdict ayupp.com: We confirm that the viral image of a girl in a burqa is Najma Nazir, not Muskan.
