   'Imitinef Mercilet' is apparently an alternative spelling of the drug Imatinib mesylate which is used in the treatment of some forms of leukemia along with other types of cancer. Imatinib, often referred to a "Gleevec", has proved to be an effective treatment for some forms of cancers. However, "blood cancer" is a generalized term for cancers that affect the blood, lymphatic system or bone marrow. The three types of blood cancer are listed as leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. These three malignancies require quite different kinds of treatments. While drugs (including Imatinib), along with other treatments such as radiation can help to slow or even stop the progress of these cancers, there is currently no single drug treatment that can be said to actually cure all such cancers.

Imitinef Mercilet: is used in the treatment of some forms of leukaemia along with other types of cancer. Imatinib, sold under the brand names Gleevec among others, is a medication used to treat cancer.Specifically, it is used for chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) and acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL) that are Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph+) and certain types of gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), systemic mastocytosis, and myelodysplastic syndrome. It is taken by mouth.

As per report by economictimes article Social media wrongly highlighting about cancer medicine- Dr Rao, Belagavi: Dr Vishal Rao, Consultant, Head and Neck surgery, HCG Cancer Care clarified that there is no single medicine available anywhere in the world, which can be prescribe for all types of cancers. Addressing the press conference here on Friday, Dr Rao said the wide promotion is being given through the social media about Imitinef Mercilet medicine claiming that it can clear all types of cancers.

It is also being highlighted on social media that said medicine is distributed at Pune based Yashoda Hematology Cancer Institute in free of cost.

Dr Roa said there is no magical medicine in the world that cures all types of cancers.
