Viral Video: Nayanthara confirms her engagement with Vignesh Shivan
Chennai: Actress Nayanthara has confirmed her engagement with her long-time partner and filmmaker Vignesh Shivan. She made the revelation during a Tamil talk show, a promo of which was tweeted by Vijay Television.
Asked on the show “Lady Superstar Nayanthara” by host Dhivyadarshini about her ring, Nayanthara replied, “This is an engagement ring.”
Further, Dhivyadarshini asked her what she likes about Shivan and her answer is “What I like is... everything”. But later she added “I will tell about things which I don’t like...”

The show will air on Independence Day (August 15) and Nayanthara is promoting her upcoming thriller Netrikann, which will release on Disney+ Hotstar on August 13. The movie is directed by Milind Rau and produced by Vignesh.
Looking back, the couple fell in love during the film Naanum Rowdydhaan in 2015. Their engagement news made headlines in 2019 when the actress had addressed Shivan has her fiancé.
On his Instagram account, director Vignesh often shares images of him and Nayanthara together.
Three days ago, he had posted a picture of both of them holding the Tiger Award and captioned it, “With our first international award 😇😇😇 our #firstfilm #Pebbles #Koozhangal got us home the prestigious #TigerAward @iffr all the way from Rotterdam to Chennai 😇😇😇 as we hold it close to our heart ❤️ thankful to @psvinothraj and his fabulous team for making this gem :) all the accolades and encouragement this film is garnering makes us sooo happy & proud 🥲! Nayanthara and Vignesh backed Koozhangal (Pebbles) won the Tiger Award at the 50th International Film Festival Rotterdam. Koozhangal is the first Tamil film to win this award. Koozhangal is directed by PS Vinothraj and produced by Rowdy Pictures, which was co-founded by Nayanthara and Vignesh.
