Leela Bhansali, Padmavati: One of the best Movie makers of the Indian film industry Sanjay Leela Bhansali was attacked on the sets of his upcoming new movie "Padmavati" in Rajasthan, Jaipur by a group of protesters on Friday who allege that the movie shows the real life character and a Rajput queen in poor light.

The movie Padmavati is based on the real life event of a real queen Padmavati.

In the video shared by one of a facebook users can be shown how the protestors making all the noise and disrupting putting halt on the movie set. A group of people entered the movie set and attacked the filmmaker, slapping him and pulling his hair.

Activists were from a Rajput organisation, Shree Rajput Karni Sena, who protested and misbehaved with the members of Bhansali's  upcoming movie, Padmavati. some cameras and other equipment were also dmamged, forcing Bhansali to stop shooting, as per reports.

The upcoming movie Padmavati is based on the true story of Queen Padmini, who famously refused to surrender to Emperor Alauddin Khilji who when he arrived at the Chittorgarh fort with his entire army, the queen killed herself along with scores of other women before he could storm the fort.

The film is having some of the best Actors of the Indian film industry Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone In the lead role as Padmini and Shahid Kapoor.
