Eng vs Ind 2nd Test: ‘You can kill me for that...’ Aakash Chopra makes bold prediction

London: Today (August 16) is the fifth and final day of the second Test between England and India. And former India batsman Aakash Chopra has predicted as to which team will win the game and take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.

At the end of the fourth day on Sunday, India was ahead of 154 runs with still four wickets in hand. The Virat Kohli-led side will resume at 181/6. It all depends on Rishabh Pant (14 not out) as to many more runs the visitors will add.

On his YouTube channel, Chopra had this to say. “You can kill me for that, I am saying England to win. I feel England will win this encounter because the pitch has become slower but not deteriorated. An odd ball is staying low or climbing, it is not a variable bounce that might disturb you and it is not going to turn that much.”

“India will be all out in the first 20 overs. If we are all out inside twenty overs, what is the kind of score that you are looking at? 190 I think is where India will reach,” he added.

After the end of day’s play, India’s batting coach Vikram Rathour said the team needs to set a target of 200. “You are right, this will be a typical fifth day wicket of a Test match, where the ball will go up and down and is also turning, like we saw. So, again like I said earlier, if we can take the target near 200 runs, then it won’t be easy for England,” he said.
